Holla  สวัสดี  Привет  喂!  أهلا

We are StreetMarketStudio

— an independent Arthouse Magazine & spoof design agency from the Asia-Pacific. We are re-establishing creative identity for the design industry; to resist, rebuke & reverse the corporatization of everyday life. [new game] /// ideas that make the top 1000 brands shake with fear or excitement; we are heavily armed with comedy, memories from the field, dada! & poetry + SPIRITUALTECHNO™  & plenty of

Based in Bangkok with roots in London, Moscow & Guangzhou — we work across different languages, disciplines & help the planet to find its voice with design anarchy thinking, rebel strategy & a completely collaborative approach connecting the dots around art x design, 21st century economics & the third force – also known as  the edge.

“The Edge … There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. The others the living-are those who pushed their control as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down, or did whatever they had to when it came time to choose between Now and Later.

But the edge is still Out there …

“It was dangerous lunacy, but it was also the kind of thing a real connoisseur of edge-work could make an argument for.

Product Design.

We don’t want to design products anymore – we Dare to Create Culture

We do good design & find context in a society that has been ravaged by the corporatization of everyday life. For the most part we are a culture jamming magazine

– the cosmic galactic trade-mark of Terence McKenna

We are an experienced team with a clear goal when releasing new culture. We want to universalise our clients presence no matter the channel or device; but with world saving rhymes & critical thought about their signs & brand’s purpose in these desperate times

Our customers rely on us when seeking innovation: a word that has lost all meaning. But also because they want to create without loosing their soul in this new & superdigital world

The internet is so vast, so new – that a new spirituality must be created for it

Buy the ticket, take the ride …

& remember; no sympathy for the devils

WARNING!

We do like to poke fun at the top 1000 corporations in the world. They are not the living or the dead* after all, just non-entities with the status of personhood – the grand lie of legal fiction. But yet somehow have rights like actual sentient life

We know humour goes a long way when it comes to rage. So keep a brave face & rebellious heart if this is all new to you, dudes

* – Not sure about that already? Then you maybe at the wrong agency pal

Enter The Void.

We’ve just landed & it feels like we’re from another planet

We don’t believe in the word consumer – therez enough of them around. We serve real activists – not the supermassive global elite of toxic multinational corporations who only claim to be ethical once its become a trend

& we don’t buy into labeling generations XYZ or Alpha Beta Reticuli

You can just call us hippies if you like. We know how much fokes like them lot. Fuck we could even put in a call to the bike mechanics from Vega

We’re veterans & raw heros from the design industry – its plagued by corporate correctness & hardliners, pretenders who refuse to rebel against the establishment & watch activists on the streets doing the hard work so they don’t have to

They run in fear of our memes because we have a natural plan to bring it all down … one pixel at a time – we’ve been talking about it for years in the garage. We’ve created a mon star.

“Sure we wanna pop a cap in a few CEO legs – but thats not unusual among our breed.

… “How many times have we said the word corporation now? Jesus fellas. We must sound like advertisers

David, Lead Pixel Puncher.

Invovation you say? Capitalists love to say “competition breeds innovation” until they have to compete for our labour. They all talk about innovation; but never point the pencil of ideas at the poverty caused by their filthy rich corporations that have no heart, no soul & no morals – only sentient life has these qualities

So we’re fighting back – want to join us?

Generation what !?

The Satori Generation

Quite possibly the last ‘new bloody breed’ of beings that have outdone the tricksters of consumerism & advertising

We are about to kick corporate arse like no other generation before. All the mega brands from Nike, Adidas & Reebok -the whole fashion industry- will suffer from severe brand corrosion. A new sense of whats cool, edgy and current has emerged. We are a spontaneous play jazz indie culture, that will recapture the imagination of the world

A new era of grass roots capitalism has already begun

Get out of that first world blanky & reach for the map of places off the beaten track where many wrapped in privilege fear to stand in moonlight

We want be that naughty agency magazine that marketing musketeers venture to for corporate junk kicking ideas as they slowly transition to the world of subvertising

This is not a NSFW kinda rag.

Meme Warriors.

We even like to point at the OIL

#CultureJamming is a trillion dollar industry

Get in early while you can …

Our Services.

We are a small family – a couple; with a network. We have clients with big hearts & often donate our time, skillset & minds to those who really need it

You can forget the design agency corporate spin, lies & non-sense here. We speak for the street. Not profit-hungry zombies in your suit pocket!

Sound harsh? Well, not really folks. If only the top 50 design agencies in the world alone could get together and start saving the world instead of serving the most wealthy companies in organised crime. Well, then all the old heads at the back of the studios would be well haps

This is not some unique analysis of the design industry. Its a commonly shared diagnosis of a failed system that many creative minds know all too well in creative services & have similar feedback for the account holding partners in crime. Our job is to turn it all around with magic or something, fuck knows.

Some of the best creatives in the belly of the beast will take a stand & not display work that is profit-based as a matter of urgency to raise awareness of the rebellion in the industry. Some of us don’t even have that kind of work in our books, ditch design & become writers, verbal brick throwers. Others, just do not give a ding dong doggle & then you have like the actual devil’s advocates, Lord have mercy.

Even account teams love our honest creative approach because we empower them to scratch their corporate label off, have you noticed how no one in the office likes being corporate. We did in our day stuck at the timesheets, name, job numbers again. That’s because the word its Elf means form without spirit.

“It looks a bit corporate, Dee. Can you fix that please : )

This is not just a crisis of aesthetics, mind.

“We have to grasp, [ … ] that corporations are not concerned with the common good. They exploit, pollute, impoverish, repress, kill, and lie to make money. They throw poor people out of homes, let the uninsured die, wage useless wars for profit, poison and pollute the ecosystem, slash social assistance programs, gut public education, trash the global economy, plunder the U.S. Treasury and crush all popular movements that seek justice for working men and women. They worship money and power.”

Recent hits, misses, airballs

Some blood & sweat, even tears; but mostly; just historical items of note. There is alot we could show here from the past, but its a bit like getting out the rotten jam & vapid corporate junk when you only have a few good apples proudly on display

Work vs Pleasures.

Work; is the source of nearly all the misery in the world. Almost any evil you’d care to name comes from working or from living in a world designed for work. In order to stop suffering, we have to stop working – & we believe that is what design really is about:

Making Things Easy

Want to know more about that one? Have a read

the Digital Era is facing new ways of communication; but the most clued up of us want to throw that digital rubbish in the bin. From anti-social media owned by advertisers to the latest billboards with the high-end of low-psy gadgetry; we are saying NO & reclaiming our soul from it all

We are providing the best crafty ideas for world revolution as we did the last ten 68′ years in activism; with fresh thinking adapted to this dystopian & apocalyptically challenging world.

Are you ready for your next creative experience with the vision as the hero with a thousand faces?

“Nobody wants to work anymore.”

Nobody ever wanted to work at all. We wanted to be productive, be creative, be part of a community, be supported, be validated, and have the time and space to truly rest. No one actually wants to trade in hours of their life to “earn” necessities.
